Troopers of the Light Horse (and possibly Camel Corps?) dissembling captured German plane, 8 October 1917. Written on back: “One of the first Taubes brought down in Palestine by a young Canadian Aviator in Sept. 1917. It landed at a place called [Garin / Carin ?] & our patrols were on him too quick for him to burn his machine. This is taken on the way in to our Aerodrome after taking the wings off it.” |
